FULL DESCRIPTION:

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for the prompt and accurate processing of disbursement to vendors.  The job is project related and will be assisting with auditing and recording information along with transferring information from QuickBooks to Sage.


Duties  

* Receives and verifies expense reports; reconciles expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records. 

* Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies. 

* Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed. 

* Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling vendor monthly statements and transactions. 

* Records entry of, verifies documentation for, and distributes petty cash.  

* Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports. 

* Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying federal id numbers, scheduling and preparing checks, and resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation. 

* Ensures credit is received for outstanding memos. 


Accounts Payable Clerk Job Description 

* Pays employees by receiving and verifying expense reports and requests for advances and preparing checks. 

* Other directives as required.

* QuickBooks and Sage skills preferred. 

* Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy. 

* Excellent attention to detail. 

* Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records. 

* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. 

* Professional and pleasant telephone manner. 

* Organized and detail oriented with excellent follow through skills. 

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 


Hourly Rate - $24 - $27 hr.
