Immediate opening for a 1st Shift Automation Technician in Lewisville, TX who possesses:
- 5+ Years experience as a Technician within a Manufacturing Environment (Food & Beverage, Packaging, Nutraceutical Highly Preferred)
- Strong Electrical Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs
- Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, or Omron Controls Highly Preferred

FULL DESCRIPTION: Our client has an immediate opportunity for an Industrial Automation Mechanic with controls experience. Their state-of-the-art production facility is conveniently located off Route 35 E in Lewisville. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years as an automation or controls technician in a manufacturing environment. Food, beverage or packaging line maintenance experience is preferable as is familiarity with common bottling, labeling, packaging equipment, ink jet coders, conveyors and all supporting equipment.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Work with production personnel to maintain operational effectiveness
- Equipment installation support
- Test and diagnose machine faults – Mechanical and Electrical.
- Calibrate and repair machines as needed
- Read and interpret manuals, blueprints, electrical circuitry diagrams
- Troubleshoot machinery and systems using diagnostic equipment
- Perform scheduled maintenance -PM's, Improvements, Etc.
- Troubleshoot and correct controls instrumentation (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron)
- Remove and replace faulty components
- Maintain safe work environment
The selected candidate will also possess:
- Minimum 5 years maintenance experience – manufacturing
- Proficiency with Industrial Instrumentation and Controls
- Familiarity with filling and packaging equipment (bottle fillers, labelers, sleeve applicators, ink jet coders, pumps, conveyors)
- Advanced electrical knowledge - primary and control circuits
- DC Circuit and VFD troubleshooting
- Strong analytical skills
- Understanding of OSHA safety standards
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude (HVAC knowledge a plus)
- Must have own hand tools
- Good attendance history
Salary Range: $38-$43/hr
