CNC Mill Programmer - Defense Search

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- At least 3 years of experience with CNC programming and setting up machines

FULL DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a skilled 5-Axis CNC Mill Programmer to develop, optimize, and support machining programs for complex precision parts. This role works closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure efficient, accurate, and repeatable production.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Experience programming 5-axis CNC milling machines
- Program 5-axis CNC milling machines using CAM software
- Develop and optimize toolpaths for complex geometries and tight tolerances
- Select tooling, fixturing, and cutting strategies to maximize efficiency and part quality
- Support machine setup, prove-out, and first-article runs
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make program adjustments as needed
- Review engineering drawings, models, and specifications
- Maintain documentation for programs, processes, and revisions
- Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing standards
The selected candidate will also possess:
- Experience programming 5-axis CNC milling machines
- Proficiency with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, NX, Fusion 360, or similar)
- Strong understanding of G-code, tooling, feeds, and speeds
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- Experience machining metals such as aluminum, steel, stainless, and/or titanium
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Salary Range: $45-55/hour
