  • Bachelors - Accounting or similar 
  • 8+ years' experience in Accounts Receivable 
  • Strong experience with Excel (V- lookups and Pivot tables)

FULL DESCRIPTION: The Accounts Receivable Clerk will assist in ensuring that the company receives payment for goods and services offered to clients.  
 
The selected candidate will also be responsible for: 
  • Input, coding and other general Accounts Payable duties are assigned by the Accounts Payable supervisor 
  • Print out Accounts Payable invoices and match up with purchase orders and/or secure approval signatures 
  • Reconcile open vendors payment statements 
  • Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable 
  • Maintain and update customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions 
  • Draft correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment 
  • Create weekly AR aging reports for the current status of customer accounts and as otherwise as requested 
  • Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts  
  • Follows company collection policies and procedures to avoid bad debt and maintain cash flows 
  • Assist Controller with annual credit review processes 
  • Assists the Assistant Controller in reconciling revenue accounts each month 
  • Copies, files, and retrieves documents related to accounts receivable as needed 
  • Provides audit support with respect to the validation of accounts receivable balances and activity 
  • Preparing weekly feedback reports on payment collection status 
  • Negotiating with customers in cases when non-payment occurs 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned 
 
The selected candidate will also possess: 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs 
  • Ability to operate office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier/scanner 
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with company staff and customers 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail  
  
Salary: $65k-$75k/yr
