Accounting Manager - TalentZok

- Must have experience working with SAGE 100 with little to no guidance or training (preferably in the last 3 years)
- Manufacturing industry preferred
- Experience partnering and communicating with Financial Holding Company (FHC)

FULL DESCRIPTION:
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Manage the full cycle of accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), general ledger entries, and monthly reconciliations.
- Oversee check runs, ensuring all outgoing payments are accurate and timely, and prepare for executive review and approval.
- Conduct month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and variance analysis.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately in the accounting system.
- Monitor cash flow and assist with maintaining proper cash controls to support operational needs.
- Handle daily deposits, retrieve and process physical mail, and manage any related bank transactions.
System & Reporting:
- Utilize SAGE 100 ERP software to manage and process financial data with a high level of independence and accuracy.
- Generate ad hoc and standard financial reports (e.g., P&L, balance sheet, A/R aging, inventory valuation) on demand for executive leadership.
- Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies in financial data or system entries, ensuring audit-readiness at all times.
Inventory & Manufacturing Support:
- Work collaboratively with production managers to track and verify inventory levels, assist with inventory counts, and ensure proper financial valuation of materials.
- Coordinate with purchasing teams for inventory ordering and expense tracking related to production needs.
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure financial controls and cost accounting practices are maintained across the supply chain.
Leadership & Communication:
- Serve as the primary liaison between the accounting function and the company's Financial Holding Company (FHC), including regular financial updates and documentation.
- Participate in financial planning and forecasting, contributing insights based on historical trends and operational shifts.
- Support the CFO in strategic finance tasks such as budgeting, risk assessment, and compliance initiatives.
- Provide insights and recommendations to streamline accounting processes, improve reporting accuracy, and support business growth.
Process Ownership & Autonomy:
- Operate with a high degree of independence — expected to own the accounting function end-to-end with minimal oversight.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the finance function.
- Maintain organized records and documentation in accordance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
Salary Range: $60k-$95k/yr
