- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 2+ years of Accounting experience in property management/real estate or construction industry
- Must have experience with Budget Tracking
- Must be intermediate with Excel
- The following are a plus (not required): CAM reconciliations, Skyline, AvidXchange
FULL DESCRIPTION: Irvine based Real Estate Investment and Property Management firm is looking for a hardworking, self-motivated individual to join our growing team as a Construction Accountant. This role will be based in our Corporate Office, but will oversee construction projects for our Los Angeles Portfolio.
The selected candidate will also be responsible for:
- Track all company projects from start to finish (using Excel) and distribute tracking report weekly to upper management
- Update tracking report daily
- Acts as 'go-to' person for project tracking and giving project statuses promptly
- Tracks and processes all Construction Department invoicing and correlating documentation (lien releases, budgets, etc.) through closeout of each project
- Assists with project administration deliverables (i.e., meeting minutes; budget tracking; schedule updates; closeout packages)
- Monthly financial reporting & coordination with accounting
- Assist in Budgets and CAM reconciliations
- Assisting with answering phones, as well as any other duties that may be assigned by the Senior Portfolio Manager
- May be assigned special projects as needed
- 15-20% travel to our LA office located in Westlake Village on an as needed basis
The selected candidate will also possess:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 2+ years of Property Management Accounting experience
- Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel skills. Skyline experience a plus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and can work with all levels in the organization
- Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills. Willingness to multi-task, embrace change and ability to deal with ambiguity
- Demonstrate initiative and professionalism
- Detail oriented, highly self-motivated, positive team-player attitude, and ability to work with minimal supervision
Salary: $50k-$65k/yr
